All of the modern day news about Rozen Maiden is all about pop-up shops and other merchandise. I appreciate the fact rozen maiden is still sort of alive but I do wish we got an anime continuation that was finally 1:1 to the manga (zurückspulen was close but it had the weird choice of a poor recap episode at the start). The collectors' editions were awesome and I own 2 volumes currently but I'm dismayed that the extra series aren't included (they should have a barasuishou volume!). I do wonder how much money is actually made on merch sales, the Dolk dolls were pretty expensive and I'm hoping that I can get one of them in my lifetime. But the ip can't be that profitable since the target audience old-head otakus and the earliest of gen z. Also I'm super sad desuchan is finally dead and buried (for like 2 years now (assumedly)) as not alot of full size images are archived and I had a couple month window I could have archived it (if i had the space). Also it's a piece of the old internet that's gone just like that. I think trying to be like the old internet nowadays is a noble pursuit (im sort of doing it now yknow) but entirely unachievable as the culture has changed so much as we're in an era of irony. If internet culture was decent nowadays I would be overjoyed to say let's move on from the old internet and look ahead but... it now SUX! I feel like that's one of the major factors of why everything blows now, the other ones are ze algos and corporate greed. something something simulacrum something something gen z.
Also the interwebs was NOT designed to be comingled with average life
Ok that's it remember ball joints and boat lights that's how we roll brother bro
